IPC Membership

ISI has been a member of IPC since 1999. IPC is a global electronics industry association that partners with OEMs, EMS providers, PCB fabricators, wire harness manufacturers and suppliers. IPC supports the industry through global standards as well as education and training, advocacy and solutions to industry challenges and opportunities. Our membership to IPC demonstrates our commitment to continuously improve quality, reliability and consistency.

ISI is certified to these industry standards for designing PCBs and electronics:

  • IPC-A-610Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies, provides criteria for the acceptance of end products

  • J-STD-001Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, describes the materials, methods, and other criteria for creating high-quality soldered interconnections

Our design team adheres to the following IPC design standards in the fabrication of printed circuit boards:

  • IPC-2221, establishes the generic requirements for the design of printed boards and other forms of component mounting or interconnecting structures
  • IPC-6012, establishes and defines the qualification and performance requirements for the fabrication of rigid printed boards

  • IPC-6013, this specification covers qualification and performance requirements of flexible printed boards

  • IPC-6018, this specification covers end product inspection and test of high frequency (microwave) printed boards for microstrip, stripline, mixed dielectric and multilayer stripline applications with or without buried/blind vias, and metal cores

ISI utilizes NADCAP suppliers as required.
